Man will fail. Again and again and again and again, man will fail. I have not seen much in this life of mine, to give me reason to put my faith in humankind. In his book titled "Know Doubt", John Ortberg says that "hoping can break your heart". I know this feeling well. Every day, I have less and less hope in others, and expect less from them.
That would be rather depressing if I didn't have Someone to hope in. But I do, and really, that's an inexpressible comfort. I don't know what I'm doing half the time, but God does, and it doesn't really matter what I feel if I believe and can put my hope in that. =)
