A New First

It was my first time recording as a VJ today! It was for the upcoming Freedom ESS, and mondo tiring it was... But it was really fun! One thousand NGs and all~ Supergirl said we were future candidates for Hope TV - The Jase & Rays Tag Team. We complement each other, apparently... I'm still undecided on whether that's a good or bad thing hahaha (The future candidates thing). Yup, and it's God's blessing that I wore the correct tee today, even though it might not have been so in Ron's eyes at first. I feel like Harry Potter whenever I say that lol!

It's hectic times! What with planning, rehearsals, duties, school matters... I wouldn't miss it for the world (It is debatable as to whether "school matters" is included in this haha!). Even so, I'll be glad when this ESS is over. I really want to have a few dinners with my parents a few times a week. You know, I think I really have to overcome this automatic reaction of not smiling when I'm around my mum & dad? I think I'm doing an injustice to them! =/ My mum's birthday's coming up - 22 Oct. A really special year this, I hope to be able to give something a little more significant than usual...

Looking forward to dance again for service! The first time, years ago, was fun, but I was really nervous! This time, I play an even bigger role, but with familiar people, a really different style, and a shorter piece of music. As I told Raphael, our main choreographer - we musicians who're dancing are really breaking ground, but not in our primary ministry lol!

CPM is tomorrow, I'm playing a.guit (acoustic guitar) for it. I realise that I've come a long way since I've been asked to play bass for Y-Hope in March this year. I've really made bass my primary instrument now, so much so that I've become more confident in playing bass on stage rather than playing a.guit! My change in attitude towards playing bass - it's really got to be You God! And where I am now compared to where I was just a few months ago - that's really got to be Your anoiting! I thought bass was really simple at first, and it is if it's just basics, but the groove - that's a whole different story altogether, and I'm lovin' it! The last time I played a.guit for church was during Jump '08 @ Fort Canning and truth be told, I've not touched my beautiful Breedlove a.guit very much since then. That was during end August! I even lent it to Ruiz two weeks ago, and I just got it back this week when I knew I had to play for CPM! I'm worried that my pinky, now so accustomed to prodding a huge bass string, will be unable to cope with the thin a.guit string biting almost constantly into it. I really need You to strengthen my fingers tomorrow God!

On top of all these programmes squished together is not just one, but two fasting and praying programmes! One's for CPM and that's churchwide, and the other subsequent one's for Freedom ESS, and it's conducted within my caregroup. What with all the rushing, practising, and horsing around, WITHOUT FOOD, we'd better rely on God, you know what I mean? Man, I'm hungry just THINKING of it! =S

Anyway, got to finish up an email to Ruiz and pack my bags for Dreamland already - another busy day tomorrow, and I need all my wits and energy about me! Goodnight all you good people! Er, for the bad people, I'll borrow a phrase from Jase: "Have fun with your noses!" Another day then! =D
