It's going to be a short post today. Relatively. I feel like, I don't know, a Chery QQ that's been forced to putter along at a mere 180km/h for 7 hours straight. Ah, more about that later. Well, on hindsight, it's been a busy week after Freedom ESS. The going out everyday for supper, visitations (a born & bred Hope word), for prawning, for simple accompaniment, for taking my Final Theory Test (and passing!), as well as the advent of a new school term on the 31st October.
Lectures always come first for school modules, and always on weekends. In that sense, I wish school hadn't started so early. It means that I can't play for service. Jerel's been playing a few in a row now, I think, and he's flying off to India with his army unit, and I think he kinda deserved a rest on the 1st November service, but I couldn't play, so he very willingly and sweet-spiritedly played anyway. I can't play next week too, so I think EC's playing in my place. Somewhat inconvenient eh, my timetable? Well I missed caregroup today too... =(
I had a long talk with God late on Tuesday night, the best I've had in a long while now. Freedom indeed. A renewal is underway, and of course, the devil would interfere. I'll tell you why I feel like an overheated micro car - I've had a torrid day.
Today when I got up for school, my nose was blocked. After a bath, it was running as though Voldemort was after it throughout the day, and ESPECIALLY in lecture! School was supposed to be from 9.30am to 5pm, and could've ended at 3.30pm IF my friend didn't push the lecturer to complete one more lecture. But having that lecture was good, so it wasn't too bad...
After dinner (Subway at Central), I went down to LCube for CTM/WAM Night music practice, which SHOULD have started at 7pm, but the band using the room before us ate into some of our time. During practice, I didn't play a SINGLE song without making some mistake with the exception of Everyday. I got notes and sequences wrong ALL over the place, despite having practiced at home. Besides that, several songs were transposed without my knowledge, but I'm just being nitpicky here. Overall, I think I really sucked in practice by any standards. To top it all off, we cut practice short because we had to leave the room ON TIME, much unlike the previous group, AND I was still sniffing away like an emotional bloodhound.
Rubbing salted cherry in to top off a wounded cake icing, I crossed a really high overhead bridge, after supper, which made me feel like I was wading through treacle, while lugging an instrument that seemed to be made of lead, only to find out that the destination bus stop was not privy to the services of bus 147, AND I was still sniffing away like an emotional bloodhound. Phooey.
I could question God, but I'm just going to bathe, do quiet time, and sleep. Rest assured, I won't be setting an alarm for tomorrow. Goodnight, good riddance, and I'm still sniffing away like an emotional bloodhound that has waded through treacle and carried a leaden instrument.
