Advantage

It is likely that in your life, you will come across a few people who are genuinely caring and loving, and who put the well-being and blessing of others before themselves. When it comes to blessing others, they are "yes-men" - they will not present a negative response to blessing those around them, even if it means forgoing some comforts, giving up some preferences, or even if it takes a toll on their very own physical, psychological, or emotional well-being (these areas inexorably affect each other after all).

The question is, do you love them enough not to take advantage of them? There is a sensible component to love. For instance, what is more important: an event that can be postponed to a later date and held at a time more befitting that of diurnal creatures, or the well-being of these "yes-men"? If you do take advantage of these people, you are being insidious and manipulative. And if you claim to do it unwittingly, that is an excuse - one that reflects your character.

Disclaimer: This is a food-for-thought post. The author is guilty of being insidious and manipulative at times as well. Any resemblance to pointing fingers is to be passed off as skinny frankfurters. =P
